Molly Deinhart, an eighth-grade student at St. Mary School in Oak Ridge, recently completed a 125-mile bicycle ride to honor her teacher Darlene Adams, who is battling cancer. The Tour de Mary began on Oct. 5 at St. Mary Catholic School in Oak Ridge and finished on Oct. 6 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School in Chattanooga. Molly was accompanied on the ride by Father Joe Reed, associate pastor at Sacred Heart Cathedral, and John Deinhart, Molly’s father who serves as the stewardship director for the Diocese of Knoxville. The Tour de Mary raised almost $8,000 for a scholarship in honor of Mrs. Adams.
