Catholic Charities of East Tennessee celebrated the new roof at Samaritan Place in Knoxville yesterday. The new roof covers a 10,000 square-foot facility and was made possible by a $70,000 grant from the City of Knoxville.

Representatives from the local Community Development Office, the U.S. Department of Housing, and Urban Development, and ACC Construction joined Catholic Charities in its “Raise the Roof” celebration at Samaritan Place.

Samaritan Place provides shelter and support for seniors in crisis, addressing housing and care issues specifically for people age 60 and older.
