The universal Church is about to become more acquainted with Servant of God Father Patrick Ryan now that a film exists depicting his life story. “Father Ryan: A Higher Call” premiered on April 15 at Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga.
Hollywood filmmakers Veronica DiPippo and Marc Aramian will premiere their new award-nominated docudrama “Father Ryan: A Higher Call” during a special gala at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at Notre Dame High School, 2701 Vermont Ave., Chattanooga.
The faithful are invited to share any information they may have which might in any way help, either favorable or contrary, to understand the notoriety of sanctity and the offering of life of Servant of God Father Patrick Ryan.
Bishop Richard F. Stika presided at the memorial Mass and re-entombment of Servant of God Father Patrick Ryan on July 31 at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul.
As part of process toward canonization, the remains of Father Patrick Ryan will be transferred from Mount Olivet Cemetery to the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul in Chattanooga. Bishop Richard F. Stika will celebrate Memorial Mass and Blessing of the Tomb at the basilica on Saturday, July 31, at 11 a.m.
The cause for the beatification and canonization of Servant of God Patrick Ryan took a historic turn Sept. 28 with the opening session of an inquiry into the East Tennessee priest’s life and the installation of a tribunal to examine evidence supporting his candidacy for sainthood.
