Advent is a season of preparation and penance that reminds us of Christ's birth as well as His second coming at the end of time. There are many resources to help you prepare your hearts and minds as a community, as a family, and as an individual.

St. Mary Parish in Athens used a significant anniversary to celebrate its history at a potluck dinner Oct. 15 in the family life center. The recent party was to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the dedication of the old church building on Congress Parkway.
