Funeral set for Sister Albertine Paulus, RSM

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Albertine Paulus, RSM, who peacefully passed away on Sunday at the Mercy Convent in Nashville. She was 93.

Sister Albertine served the faithful of the Diocese of Knoxville for decades and in numerous capacities. She established and led the new Office of Evangelization for nearly 20 years. In addition to also serving those in need at the former St. Mary's Hospital for many years, Sister Albertine organized and led diocesan pilgrimages.  She served in religious life for more than seven decades. 

Sister Albertine was the recipient of the papal honor which was bestowed by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI – The Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice.

The visitation and funeral Mass for Sister Albertine will be held at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Monday, Oct. 31. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 p.m. and the funeral Mass will begin at 2 p.m. and will be live-streamed on the cathedral's YouTube page.
