Father Velez reinstated to St. Patrick Parish

Bishop Mark Beckman has announced Father Miguel Velez has been reinstated to full active ministry at St. Patrick Church in Morristown, effective immediately. 

In a letter to St. Patrick parishioners, Bishop Beckman explains that following a thorough investigation, the Diocesan Review Board found no evidence to substantiate claims that were made. The administrative leave has been lifted, and Father Velez will return to his ministry without restriction.

Bishop Beckman expresses his gratitude to the St. Patrick Parish family and Father Velez for their patience and understanding throughout this process. He also reaffirms the Diocese of Knoxville's commitment to maintaining strict Safe Environment Policies and Procedures to protect all members of our community.
