Bishop announces new priest assignments

Bishop Richard F. Stika has announced the following priest assignments, effective July 1, 2015:

Fr. Brent Shelton – Pastor, St. Mary Church in Oak Ridge

Fr. Mike Creson – Pastor, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in LaFollette and Christ the King Church in Tazewell

Fr. Joe Campbell – Pastor, St. Henry Church in Rogersville and St. James the Apostle Church in Sneedville

Fr. Jerry Daniels – Parochial Administrator, St. Francis of Assisi Church, Townsend

Fr. Bede Aboh – Chaplain, Catholic Center at East Tennessee State University

Fr. Antonio Giraldo – Associate Pastor, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church and St. John Paul II Catholic Mission (will be in-residence at Holy Trinity in Jefferson City)

Fr. Adam Kane – Associate Pastor, All Saints Catholic Church in Knoxville

Fr. Collin Blatchford – Associate Pastor, Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul and Sacramental Minister to the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Catholic Center (UTCCC)

Fr. Julian Cardona – Associate Pastor, St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City

Soon to be ordained priest, Deacon Scott Russell – Chaplain of Notre Dame High School, part-time Associate Pastor of the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul and Associate Vocations Director

Soon to be ordained priest, Deacon Raymond Powell – Associate Pastor, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, in Chattanooga

Soon to be ordained priest, Deacon Michael Hendershott – Associate Pastor of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, part-time Religion Teacher at Knoxville Catholic High School and Associate Vocations Director

Soon to be ordained priest, Deacon Jesús Guerrero – St. Mary Church, in Johnson City

Fr. Christian Mathis – Fr. Christian has requested and has been granted a leave of absence in order to have time for discernment.
