Favorite youth ministry memory?
On the first Steubenville retreat that I went to, Chris Stefanik was a guest speaker/helper. One of the first things he did was an icebreaker game in which he played a riff of a song on his guitar. Those who recognized the song were welcome to raise their hands and be picked to help finish the song by singing it while he played it on his guitar. One of the songs was the classic song: "Let it Go" from the movie Frozen. My friend that I went with at the time ended up raising my hand for me, and somehow, I got picked out of the sea of hands. Thanks to my 5 younger sisters, I knew the lyrics all too well, and I sang my heart out. The crowd went wild! While I gave my friend the stink eye at the time, I am thankful he raised my hand. So that’s the story of how I ended up singing "Let it Go" with Chris Stefanik on stage.
