Rite of Election

The Rite of Election includes the enrollment of all the catechumens seeking baptism at the coming Easter Vigil. The catechumens publicly express their desire for baptism to the bishop. Their names are recorded in a book and they are called the Elect.

Bishop Mark Beckman will celebrate the Rite of Election with catechumens from across the diocese at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on March 8, at 1 p.m.

Mass will be in English.
