Bishop Beckman will officially open the Diocese of Knoxville's participation in the Jubilee Year on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 5 p.m. at the vigil Mass for the Epiphany of Our Lord at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
As part of the diocese's participation in the Jubliee, there will be a special cross available at the cathedral for veneration throughout the Jubilee Year.
The Jubilee Year 2025 (the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord) is an "event of great spiritual, ecclesial, and social significance in the life of the Church." It will be celebrated throughout the world all year. To learn more about the Jubilee, visit dioknox.org/jubilee.
