The Fulton Sheen Society invites families to an evening of reflection and fellowship Saturday, Feb. 22, from 5-7 p.m. at All Saints Church in Knoxville.
Penny and John Manczko will be presenting on Lectio Divina. Lectio Divina or “sacred reading” is a method of prayerful meditation on Scripture that helps focus attention and deepen one’s spiritual life. It serves as a vital practice for meditation and prayer, fostering a deeper relationship with God through the reading and contemplation of His Word.
The meeting will be in the parish hall with the talk running 45 minutes to an hour, followed by food and fellowship. Free childcare is provided in the nursery during the talk, and pizza is provided after the talk. A side item or drink is requested for families to bring to help round out the meal.
The Fulton Sheen Society is a ministry focused on strengthening marriages and families. The society is named after Venerable Fulton Sheen, who encouraged families to grow in faith using modern technology.
