The Knoxville premiere of the docudrama Father Ryan: A Higher Call will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 3:30 p.m. in the St. Gregory the Great Auditorium on the campus of Knoxville Catholic High School.
The screening is free and open to the public. The actor who played Father Ryan in the movie, Jack Pettigrew, will be there.
During the yellow fever epidemic of 1878, Father Ryan stayed in Chattanooga to tend to the sick and dying when most residents fled. He gave his life to serve those in need.
