Pope Francis has a desire for millions of young people to know and live the Social Doctrine of the Church. You might have heard of the YOUCAT, and now Pope Francis has given us the DOCAT! It focuses on the Social Doctrine of the Church and helps us to answer the question, “What to do?” How do we respond as Catholics to the suffering that is present in our world? How can we be beacons of Christ’s light in a dark world?
Six missionaries from the Southeast Pastoral Institute will lead a workshop on the DOCAT on Saturday, March 30, at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Knoxville. Three missionaries will be leading a session in English and the other three will be leading a session in Spanish. Both communities will come together for lunch and a couple activities.
This event is for young adults 18-35. Cost is $15 which includes lunch and a copy of the DOCAT. Contact Erica Pereira at firstname.lastname@example.org or (215)390-0963 to register.
