Father Douglas Owens, Delegate of the Apostolic Administrator/Moderator of the Curia
Archbishop Shelton Fabre has appointed Father Douglas Owens as his diocesan delegate.
As Delegate of the Apostolic Administrator, Father Owens will assist Archbishop Fabre with the administration of the diocese, ensuring that the spiritual, administrative, and practical needs of the diocese are met efficiently and appropriately.
Father Owens also currently serves as pastor of All Saints Parish in Knoxville.
He was appointed a vicar general and the moderator of the curia for the Diocese of Knoxville by Bishop Richard Stika in 2017.
Before that, Father Owens served as associate pastor at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut, Tenn., and as pastor at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Lenoir City, Tenn. He was ordained a priest at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Knoxville on May 28, 2011– seven years after converting to the Roman Catholic faith.
