Regions Bank made a significant donation to Catholic Charities of East Tennessee’s Columbus Home on Dec. 3.

Rob Stivers, senior vice president of Regions Bank, presented a $10,000 check from the Regions Foundation to Sister Mary Christine Cremin, executive director of Catholic Charities.

The donation will be used for academic support for the boys at Columbus Home, Sister Mary Christine said.

“It’s the kind of thing we’re very grateful for,” she said of the donation. “It really helps what we do here, which is to make this as much of a home as we can.”

Columbus Home is a group home for boys age 12 and older who have been removed from their home because of abuse, neglect, or other factors affecting their wellbeing.

Also present for the donation were Kevin Crateau, marketing director for Regions Bank, and Paul Ritter, director of children’s programs for Catholic Charities.

The bank also donated to Columbus Home one of several Christmas trees it received for being a Fantasy of Trees sponsor.
