Cardinal Rigali to represent U.S.
Cardinal Justin Rigali, archbishop emeritus of Philadelphia, now in residence in the Diocese of Knoxville, will represent the Catholic Church for the United States at the International Eucharistic Congress in 2020. The appointment was made by Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. As preparation for the Congress, Bishop Richard F. Stika invited parishioners to participate in one hour of Eucharistic adoration on Saturday, June 22, which marked the Vigil of Corpus Christi.
"The Church is asking the Catholic world to come together in this special year, and in this special city, to renew our faith..."
