When you were baptized, you were given the presence of the Holy Spirit and “charisms,” gifts of the Holy Spirit that enable you to be a channel of God’s love, truth, beauty, mercy, healing, and provision for others. 

The Called & Gifted Workshop from the Catherine of Siena Institute guides you in learning about different charisms and discovering the charisms given to you in a uniquely Catholic setting.


Date: Fri., August 26 from 7-9:30 p.m.
Sat., August 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Lenoir City


In the Called & Gifted Workshop you will learn:

  • called and gifted boxThe ancient teaching of the Church on how gifts of the Holy Spirit work in your life and in the life of your parish community
  • The 5 steps of discerning the gifts that God has given you
  • How discerning your gifts can change your own life
  • How discerning your gifts can help spread the Gospel
  • How discerning and using our gifts together we can help transform and renew our parishes

This workshop can be especially useful for:

  • holyspiritYoung adults who are discerning career or vocational direction
  • Parents who want to help their children live their faith and recognize their gifts
  • New or returning Catholics who want to explore what it means to live their faith
  • People in transition: changing jobs, relocation, empty nesters, facing retirement
  • Parish staff and leaders who want to nurture and empower parishioners
