Special collection Oct. 5-6 for disaster relief

A second collection will be taken at all weekend Masses this weekend, Oct. 5-6, to go toward providing relief to those in need in the diocese who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene.

The Diocese of Knoxville and Catholic Charities of East Tennessee are working with impacted communities to assist with immediate needs of emergency housing, food, water, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies. 

Funds from the second collection will be directed to help with the immediate as well as the longer term needs of disaster recovery within East Tennessee as people work to rebuild their lives and communities.
