Bishop Richard F. Stika will celebrate a Mass to mark the 35th anniversary of his priestly ordination at noon, Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Bishop Stika was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Louis on Dec. 14, 1985, by Archbishop John L. May at the Cathedral Basilica there. On July 1, 2019, Bishop Stika became the longest-serving bishop in the diocese.
The Mass on Dec. 15 is open to the public with COVID-19 guidelines in place. The Mass will also be streamed live on the Diocese of Knoxville's
