Mission Statement

The mission of the Sacred Heart Cathedral is to enable each person to grow in faith and love of Jesus Christ and His Gospel message through the sacramental life of the parish. This empowers us to witness His message through our love and service within and beyond our community.

From I-40 East: Take exit 383 (Papermill Drive). Keep left at the fork in the ramp, which will become Northshore Drive. Stay on Northshore and Kingston Pike. The cathedral is on the right.

From I-40 West: Take exit 383 (Papermill Drive). Turn right onto Northshore Drive. Stay on Northshore and cross Kingston Pike. The cathedral is on the right.

Sacramental information

Reconciliation: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday or by appointment
Matrimony: Four-month notice required. Contact the office before setting a date.
Baptism: Contact a priest or deacon to schedule a baptism.
Anointing of the sick: Contact the church office; in case of emergency, call 865-588-5189.
